Pakistan bans Google, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, YouTube, Bing and Amazon

There is shocking news for net users. Pakistan Govt. is all set to block Google, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, YouTube, Bing and Amazon, for publishing and promoting sacrilegious and blasphemous material.

As per the news report Bahawalpur bench of the Lahore High Court yesterday directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to immediately block nine websites, including Google, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, YouTube, Bing and Amazon as these are the medium of publishing publishing and promoting sacrilegious and blasphemous material.

This is not a new incident to readers. Pakistan has started banning sites since it has baaned Facebook first. Thought the authority has banned Facebook for holding of a competition on blasphemous caricatures of Prophet Mohammed.

Then came Youtube and after that came Twitter to get a banning tag from Pakistan. The fundamentalists had even declared Death Warrant for Mark Zuckersberg, the founder of Facebook. This time the petition was filed by an individual who claimed that these websites were publishing sacrilegious material.

However, the PTA officials have denied receiving any court orders to block these websites.
