Search Parameters of Bing

Time by time Bing is also updating its quality and search criteria. The parameter common to other search engines are not all valid here. Though advance search option is available with many common features.

The Advance Search offers a small search box where the search terms can be written. This option will let you choose the type of search you expect.
It can be Search terms, Site/Domain, Country/Region and Language

Search terms
• All of these terms: Uses an AND operation. Ignores punctuation and stop words.
• Any of these terms: Uses an OR operation. Ignores punctuation and stop words.
• This exact phrase: Searches for the exact phrase, including punctuation and stop words.
• None of these terms: Uses a NOT operation. The NOT operation groups the terms within parentheses, including punctuation and stop words.
If you would like to find movie, product, and company websites use the following guidelines
• A movie's website: Search for the studio or company that produced the film. Studio websites often link to official movie sites on their main page.
• Show times for a movie: Search for the name of your local movie theater.
• A specific product's website: Search for the manufacturer's website. The manufacturer's website will link to the product's website or webpage.
• A company's website: Search for the company name. Remember that some companies may hyphenate their Web address or add "the" to the front of their web address.
• Your favorite artist's official website: Search for the artist's name followed by the phrase official site.

Characteristics of Bing as Search Engine

If we come to discuss about the characteristics of the Bing, as a new search engine we will find many differences with Google. The basic difference is that Bing is a foster child of Microsoft corporation, was born with an aim to destroy the world dominated search impact of Google. but this does not mean that Bing will do only one work and that is to destroy the market of Google. from the beginning Bing has been able to draw the attention of Search Engine Optimisers.

The first point that attracts is that a fresh new search result apart from what Google used to show. It is of course that the algorithm of Bing is different from that of Google. Therefore the result Bing shows is different from Google. The search results that Bing shows is relevant and claims difference from Google's result. The different search result has now become a matter of concern to the SEO experts.

Another point i would like declare is that a new attractive look Bing has. An attractive background image lets user to use its platform and search engine.

The next point i have noticed is that Bing shows a short snap of the content that the particular page url has. When we put the mouse at the right of that page it shows a snap of the content to determine users about the content.
